Job Vacancy for Senior Communications Officer at a Multilateral Institution Funded Project

Company Description:
A Project with funding from multilateral institutions, that is supporting capacity building in Nigeria, in the fields of Procurement, Environmental and Social standards require the services of qualified candidates to show an interest in providing Service(s) for an ongoing project.
The Independent National Facilitation Unit (INFU) of the Project now invites Individual Consultants (“Consultant”) for the position below:
Job Title: Senior Communications Officer
Reference No.: NG-121514-CS-INDV/05/19
Location: Nigeria
Duration: The approximate effort level for each of the assignments is 120 man-days in six calendar months
Details
The successful Consultant will be required to:
  • Measure, evaluate and assess impact of the communications strategy by obtaining stakeholder feedback frequently, to identify communication gaps, conduct public consultations, polls and surveys to determine stakeholder perception.
  • Handle all awareness, visibility, publicity, promotional and media products and relations;
  • Develop the Independent National Facilitation Unit (INFU) Communication Strategy (five years) and annual communication plans in full detail;
Requirements
The short-listing criteria are:
  • Good communication and computer skills;
  • At least 12 years of general professional experience;
  • At least 5 years of specific experience in similar organisation and setups involving similar activities;
  • Experience in management of communications in a multilateral funded project.
  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Media, Communication or similar fields;
  • Membership of relevant National Professional bodies will be an added advantage;
  • Good command of the English Language;
  • Good writing, editing, and proof-reading skills;
