Job Title: Backend Engineer

Location: Lakowe, Lagos

Job Description

• We are actively seeking a skilled and self-motivated Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our innovative team.
• The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in backend development, with a strong command of Java, C#, Python, and PHP.
• The candidate should also possess expertise in Microservices architecture and demonstrate the ability to work independently.

Our Stack:

• Github- Source code management
• Sentry - Log management
• Postman, Selenium - Testing tools
• New Relic, Data Dog - Monitoring
• Redis - Cache
• ReactJS or Angular - Frontend Javascript Framework
• MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres - Database
• RabbitMQ, Kafka - Message broker

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-performance backend applications.
• Implement and maintain scalable and secure backend solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Work with Microservices architecture to build robust and scalable systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications
• 2 to 4 years of professional backend development experience
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, and PHP
• Knowledge of building REST APIs. Knowledge of gRPC is desirable as well.
