We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Research Writer

Job Description: 

  • Capable of conducting in-depth research on different subjects, presenting complex information in academic writing, and following the publication process from idea development to publication.
  • Ideal candidate has academic writing experience and the skill to use clinical and scientific data to create academic articles and media engagement posts for different audience levels.
  • Identify and work to conduct various projects that meet the centre’s research goals.
  • Works with clinicians to develop project ideas, supervise research conduct, write papers and successfully submit for publication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing academic articles, journals, brochures, and product manuals.
  • Writing will cover topics in clinical research projects, clinical trials, treatments, procedures, medical devices, pharmaceutical drugs, and other educational materials.
  • Supervise research projects for the center and clinicians, and write a variety of academic articles for publication.
  • Proofread and edit academic and clinical documents, presentation materials, and brochures for the center.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present clinical data in reports and articles.
  • Support clinicians to prepare and submit scientific abstracts for conferences.
  • Supervise data collection, entry, cleaning and analysis for research projects.
  • Prepare progress reports on center – related research.
  • Prepare articles, reports, and presentations.

Administration:

  • Coordinate center-based research projects
  • Coordinate with center specialists to collect cases for review, including the consolidation of all required media, images, etc. for documentation and publication.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (such as Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or Epidemiology) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in oncology research, is a plus.
  • Strong research writing skills, including the ability to produce high-quality, original written content derived from research findings and statistical analysis
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise summaries of research findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences
  • Proven research experience, with a good understanding of research methodologies and statistical analysis techniques
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to produce technical reports, research papers, scholarly articles and grant proposals.

  • Strong Microsoft office suite skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate professionalism towards sensitive and confidential l information.
  • Extensive experience in writing technical and non-technical academic papers and articles for educational institutions.
  • Sound knowledge of common referencing styles such as APA and MLA.
  • Commendable knowledge of various online search engines and libraries.
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to collaborate with assigned teams on multiple projects in a positive manner.
  • Ability to produce documents without any grammatical errors.
  • Excellent Communication skills (written and oral).
  • Planning and scheduling ability.
  • Impeccable writing and proofreading skills.
