Obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthetists, and midwives with extensive experience provide the facility's childcare and maternity services. Together, these specialists identify, stop, and handle any delivery-related difficulties that may occur.

Job Description:
- Manage complications in pregnancy and childbirth, by the principles of basic emergency obstetric care.
- Identify high-risk pregnancies and make referrals to doctors and other medical specialists.
- Providing prenatal and postpartum care for pregnant women
- Provide primary care to women of productive age, by the Basic Package of Health Services.
- Counsel and educate women, the family, and the community, in relevant areas of health and provide a program of parenthood preparation and complete preparation for childbirth including advice on hygiene and nutrition.
- Ensure that any side effects from the prescribed treatment are quickly identified and managed
- Ensure patient information is treated and handled with the highest confidentiality.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and referring patients to specialists when necessary
- Tending to patients and babies during delivery.
- Give support and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breastfeeding, bathing, and making up feeds.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiatives; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards.
- Help to decrease the maternal mortality rate and pregnancy-related sufferings.
- Provision of quality patient care.
- Participate in theatre when assigned
- Ensure availability/maintenance of equipment/instruments that may be required for patient management.
Eligibility Criteria:
- RN, RM or BSC (Nursing)
- Two years experience in relevant field.
