St. Francis Catholic Secondary School (SFCSS), Idimu, is a Catholic school run by the North-West African Province of the Society of Jesus. It was founded in 1990 by a Jesuit priest, Fr. Francis Cusimano. We run the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School Programmes as specified in the Nigerian National Policy on Education. It offers a wide variety of academic subjects taught by dedicated and qualified staff.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Biochemistry Teacher

Job Location: 107 Liasu Rd, Council B/Stop Idimu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description 

• Understanding the curriculum and developing schedules, lesson plans, and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content
• Managing the classroom and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment
• Setting up tests, assignments, experiments, and grading students
• Keeping meticulous records of student attendance, participation, homework, laboratory work, tests, and examination scores.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
• Stay abreast of educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
• Grading student performance and providing feedback and guidance.
• Educating students about laboratory safety and ensuring that all experiments are conducted safely

Job Requirements

• B.Sc. / B.Sc. Ed / PGDE in Biochemistry
• Knowledge of teaching styles recommended
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
