Job Title: Facilities Engineer

Job Description: Company Description:

  • Implement the Company’s Engineering Policy and technical specifications.
  • Manage project(s) engineering design and design reviews.
  • Coordinate engineering design Contractors and Equipment Vendors concerning budgeted cost & time overruns for effective resource utilization to maximize organizational output.
  • Coordinate project design activities, and provide technical inputs for methodologies of construction and commissioning of equipment and systems.
  • Implement continuous reviews of the Company Quality Management System as per Company’s mandatory policy,specifications, and other regulatory compliance programs.
  • Manage design specifications, in line with International and National codes, standards, and Government regulatory policies.
  • Coordinate planning of resources, and manpower deployment and render technical support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conducting cost-benefit analysis of the projects including feasibility studies, assessment of the requirements, present to management for Final Investment Decision (FID).
  • Ensuring adequate allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials for timely execution of the project and operations.
  • Act as a nodal point among various technical and project departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and contractors for effective project Implementation.
  • Conducting intra and multi-discipline technical reviews including HAZOPs, constructability reviews, quality management systems audits, and process safety management system studies.
  • Quality check and vetting of key design, construction, and Procurement deliverables, advise resources load for timely delivery of the project.
  • Manage and coordinate the design of various systems for the company’s hydrocarbon metering, which includes crude oil, lean gas, LPG, oil trading, and excess propane.
  • Providing technical advice and support on a wide range of techno-engineering asset development issues affecting the operations of the organization.
  • Interface with the Certifying Authority for the Supply of Inspection activities, defining required QA/QC resources needed during various phases of the project.
  • Maintaining an awareness of all technical code changes and regulatory developments affecting the Organization’s Assets considering their impact and advising top Management.
  • Advising, Participation/involvement on projects and transactions to determine technoengineering issues involved and mitigate key risks to the Company (Claim and Variation risk).
  • Training of young Engineers, directing, and motivating the workforce; impacting continuously on-the-job training for accomplishing greater organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
  • COREN-Registered Engineer
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience
  • Certified Project Management Professional and Quality Management Professional
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of pipeline systems and facilities.
