St. Francis Catholic Secondary School (SFCSS), Idimu, is a Catholic school run by the North-West African Province of the Society of Jesus. It was founded in 1990 by a Jesuit priest, Fr. Francis Cusimano, S.J. The first set of students arrived in January 1991. St. Francis Catholic Secondary School runs the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School Programmes as specified in the Nigerian National Policy on Education. It offers a wide variety of academic subjects taught by a dedicated and qualified staff.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Economics Teacher
Job Location: 107 Liasu Rd, Council B/Stop Idimu, Lagos State
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description:
- Teach economics to the students in the assigned classes.
- Assess students academic performance regularly and provide them with guidance and feedback for academic success.
- Understanding the curriculum and developing schedules, lesson plans, and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content
- Setting up tests, assignments, and grading students
- Keeping meticulous records of student attendance, participation, homework, test, and examination scores
- Deliver engaging, coherent, and motivating lessons to students across varying classes.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. / B.Sc. Ed / PGDE in Economics
- Must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Must possess strong practical knowledge and skills in delivering lessons to students
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
